Connect Lever

Lever is the shortest of these: you sign in to Lever, agree to what Voyse is asking for, and you're back on the Integrations page connected. There are no keys to generate and nothing to paste.

Before you start

You need to be a Super Admin in Lever. That's Lever's own rule for authorising an integration, and it's the same role that can configure webhooks.

Connect it

  1. Select Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Under Connect an ATS, choose Lever.
  3. Select Connect with Lever. Lever's sign-in opens.
  4. Sign in as the Super Admin and agree to the access Voyse asks for. You're returned to the Integrations page.
  5. The pill by the provider's name reads Connected, and Sync status fills in once the first import finishes.

What Voyse asks Lever for, and why: read your postings (to import roles), write applications and upload files (so someone can apply through Voyse and arrive with their CV), read stages (to reflect where a candidate has reached), and read and write opportunities (personalised links for named people, and writing back a summary of what a candidate asked).

How updates reach Voyse

Lever has no webhook for job changes at all, so a role you publish in Lever appears in Voyse at the next import, or as soon as you select Sync now. That is the normal way to work with Lever and nothing is misconfigured.

Lever can send candidate activity — an application created, a stage change, a hire, an archive — but it issues its own signature token for each webhook you add under Settings → Integrations and API → Webhooks. Voyse checks those messages against the secret key held with your connection, and the Integrations page has no way to replace that key with Lever's token. Ask Voyse support if you want candidate activity arriving live; adding the webhooks in Lever on their own won't do it, because Voyse turns away messages it can't verify.

What comes across

Postings whose state in Lever is published. Drafts, internal and closed postings stay in Lever. Departments come from the teams and departments on those postings rather than from a separate list.

Capabilities lists Job Sync, Application Submit and Webhook Events as essential, plus two optional rows that are granted or refused together, because Lever serves both from the same permission:

  • CRM Prospects — personalised links for named people.
  • Candidate Notes — a summary of what a candidate asked, written to their profile in Lever.

If those show Not granted, the authorisation didn't include opportunities. Disconnect and connect again, agreeing to everything Lever lists.

If it didn't work

  • Lever's sign-in refuses, or sends you back with an error — the account you signed in with isn't a Super Admin.
  • You returned to Voyse but nothing connected — the authorisation was declined or timed out. Select Connect with Lever and go through it again.
  • Last webhook stays Never — expected, unless Voyse support has lined up the signature token, as above.

The rest of the page — sync status, the activity log, disconnecting — is covered in Connect your ATS.
